Kingdom Hearts brings a new kind of fight to Fortnite
The Kingdom Key, healing ice cream and two Overrides headline the crossover.
A key to close-range combat
Epic’s September 17 announcement brings Kingdom Hearts into Fortnite with the Kingdom Key: a melee weapon with combo attacks and a lightning strike. Sea Salt Ice Cream restores health and shields, giving the crossover a support item alongside its signature weapon.
Two ways to change a match
Recovery makes eliminated players drop healing orbs. Level Up supplies each squad member with a Mythic Kingdom Key at their location. A heart-shaped moon completes the crossover’s island setting.
Outfits and event timing
Sora, Riku, Kairi and Roxas were announced for the Shop, each with accessories and a LEGO Fortnite style. Check the current Shop for availability.
The announced September 19 Power Hours have already ended as of this review. During those windows, players began with the Kingdom Key and Sea Salt Ice Cream.
